Lisa's vocals go from soft to powerful; her lyrics are filled with angst, hope and wisdom. Her original song repertoire is seemingly endless. We love when she sings "Fire and Water"...hear it on her myspace. This is Mike Seminara's third showcase at 12 Grapes, and each time he amazes us. His CD, "One Foot on the Ground" is a testament to his skillful guitar work, strong vocals and songwriting abilities. Saturday 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm | Frances Kramer Singer-Songwriter | Taste Budd's Chocolate and Coffee Cafe 40 West Market Street Red Hook, NY See Map
This is what happens when a talented singer/songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist taps into the deep roots of American music with a pop sensibility to create original music that is as entertaining as it is sincere and heartfelt. Raised on classical, pop, folk, and rock music in historic Wethersfield, Connecticut (one of the hippest places to be in the 1600’s), Frances Kramer was trained on piano and oboe and self-taught on guitar, banjo, and voice. After making an escape from Bryn Mawr College, she found herself singing country and folk tunes and playing the banjo for a meager living followed by singing and playing guitar in rock bands for no living. While living in a converted school bus camper in the northeast corner of the state, she began to compose poetry and to write songs and instrumental music.

Featuring Chris Leske, Craig Vance, Dave Bevins & Arlin Greene
Individually, these veteran pickers have been winning honors (too numerous to mention here) since the early '70s. They have also toured with the likes of Bill Keith, Doc & Merle Watson, the Country Gentleman, Norman Blake and, of course, The McKrells -- playing alongside these other legends and/or opening for them on stages from country festivals to Carnegie Hall. Together, in this new progressive bluegrass band, they play fast and fun, but their compositions also express the entire range of human emotion.

Like the original BEATLEMANIA, the music and history of the legend is conveyed with dignity. Stone is not a look-alike or an impersonator, but his rendition of Johnny Cash observes a strict authenticity and dignity in conveying the rich, thought provoking music that made Johnny Cash an icon of American Country Music. Other songs on this cd are "Pushin' Country, Jump, Spring of 75'. He is the rythme guitar player in the band but his real instrument is his VOCAL. The power in Al's voice is something unimaginable and people come from miles around to hear it. He has a new song out called "Bottom of the Glass".
George "grussell" Perna was born on June 11, 1956 in Middletown NY. He studied classical piano for ten years during his school years and plays several other instruments other then piano. George has written 2 songs, one called "Girl Like You" which the band performs frequently and "Guitar Man" which he wrote to his close friend, The late Mr. Buck Wade who was the original Lead Guitar player for the band and who gave him the inspiration to continue to play country music. Tony Dance is our Bass player, sound engineer and technician for the band. Tony sings Lead vocals and has an awesome high harmony which adds to the sound qualities of the band. He has been playing music for most of his life and also plays many other instruments. Tony has performed with country stars such as "Travis Tritt, Jana J and Stephanie Bently. Bobby Havercamp, is our Pedal Steel Guitar player. He started playing steel at the age of 16. His first job was playing with a singer named Eddie Bramblett. The way he blends with the band and some of the chords he plays are phenominal. He has performed music for most of his life. He played for Tommy John of the New York Yankees, birthday party. Bob has performed with recording artists Tommy Cash, Lynn Anderson, Tanya Tucker, Elton Britt, Richard Tallpine and Johnny Paycheck. His main stay in music is country with a flavor of swing and blues added in. Joe "JCO" Conklin is our Lead Guitar Player, fills the band with some good licks and some of them sound like a mandolin and steel guitar at times. Joe sings with the band and sometimes includes a 4th harmony part. Chris Dalton is our drummer. An awesome one too. We came across chris through a friend Sam Martin and he never played country music in his life, but you'd never know. He sat behind the drums and started playing our music like he's been playing it all his life. Buy your Tickets Now!!! On Line

Saturday 9:00 pm | EILEN JEWELL BAND, also guest RED DIRT ROAD Singer-Songwriter, Roots Music, and Country | Towne Crier Cafe 130 Route 22 Pawling, NY See Map
Eilen Jewell's stage presence and the easy slide of her voice suggest the lifetime experience of a country torch singer from the '40s, having another go 'round in a fresh, new life. Her songs come on like the nakedness of a thunderstorm after a sultry day: "You show me the well, but you don't let me drink." When she hisses that she's "Too Hot to Sleep," you know she ain't talking about the weather, and you know exactly why she's "going some place where they never say your name." Eilen's heart-achingly hushed style and intimate grasp of roots music's wild graces are set to a swaying, irrepressible groove by her band, evoking classic country, folk and swing without feeling nostalgic. The Boston Globe also celebrates "the slow organic sway of her melodies, and the sensual way she rubs against the low end of her register..." More info at the Towne Crier Cafe
