We're claiming some floor space, rolling in the amps and drum kit, plugging in, and making sure there's a whole lotta shakin' goin' on -- But we'll tone down a little to prepare you for Poetry Reading courtesy of New Paltz High School at 8 PM. * * * Take Note of Early Start Time * * *

An all-ages show, especially nice for those who prefer a non-alcoholic environment.

And of course, we give a special thank-you to the Muddy Cup for featuring our single "When Your Baby's Gone" on their myspace page.

DAMIEN DEMPSEY, also special guest JESS KLEIN
Singer-Songwriter. etc.
Towne Crier Cafe
130 Route 22
Pawling, NY   See Map
DAMIEN DEMPSEY's earliest musical influences were the post-pub singsongs that his parents used to have at their home in Donaghmede (on Dublin’s Northside) when Damien was a toddler. Today, it's likely there's not a home from Dalkey to Galway where Damien Dempsey is not a household name. His unique sound reflects influences from traditional Sean-Nós to his musical heroes: Bob Marley and Elvis Presley.

JESS KLEIN's soulful, passionate voice, and lyrics that alternate between searing and heartbreakingly vulnerable, convey the kind of emotional intimacy that caused the Boston Globe to describe her as "Quite simply, one of the most gifted performers this area has produced." Her emotive, sensual Strawberry Lover was named one of the "Top Ten sexiest songs of the moment" by the NY Daily News.

Frankie's big break came when (with the help of Eddie Murphy) he audtioned and became one of only a handful of comedians to do his performance on Saturday Night Live. Rare Appearance by "Out to Lunch" ...
with "Out to Lunch" Reunion!!
Bluegrass, Jazz, and Celtic
The South Salem Library
15 Main St
South Salem, NY   See Map
Don't miss this rare appearance by the Hudson Valley's seminal progressive Bluegrass Band, "Out to Lunch"!!

Based in the New York metropolitan area, Out To Lunch was "founded" in 1980 ... at first as a loose collection of friends coming together for an occasional "open mike" night. They soon began to "get serious" and refine their sound as they sensed they had something special to offer with shows that had broad appeal to audiences. Over TWENTY-FIVE YEARS later Out To Lunch is still delighting audiences with a sound uniquely their own that combines the very best of musical warmth and sharpness.

The South Salem Library is a truly wonderful place to hear live music and "Out to Lunch" has had many memorable evenings and lots of good times there. Sadly, as of this writing, the concert series at the library will be drawing to a permanent close with this special show. Please don't miss it!!

Great Power Pop/Rock
with MATTHEW POP
Singer-Songwriter, Rock (modern), and Pop/Soft Rock
O'Donoghue's of Nyack
66 Main St.
Nyack, NY   See Map
"Melody first" is MATTHEW POP's mantra. He writes and performs thoughtful alt rock based in great melodic hooks... A bit quirky... but catchy nonetheless, with the occasional kazoo or ukelele intro that morphs into power rock as a song progresses. His music derives from eclectic influences ranging back as far as the tin pan sound of the twenties, reformed through the sensibilites of a new century. It's been described as "Bubble Gum meets Garage Band". Matthew plans to include some great covers in this show, so don't miss it!

OD's is pleased to welcome MATTHEW POP back! And, don't forget... there's no cover charge
