guitar hobbyist branching out
I've been playing at home for a few years. I've tried a few things over the years, and now would like to see if I'm able to play with other musicians of the same skill level (beginner - beginner/intermediate).

To give you an idea of my abilities - I started by learning lead and rhythm parts for some of my favorite songs, then I branched out into looping chord progressions and jamming over them using either the major scale or pentatonic. I'm not great and it takes me some time to think about key changes and shifting patterns. I have my own guitars and amps, no real dedicated practice space other than my home.

I'm early 40s, have a day job, married with kids; yet passionate about playing enough that I want to try low stress collaboration, something beyond solo playing at home. I'm not looking for anything crazy, but if it morphs into some type of occasional gig situation I wouldn't be opposed to it.

Availability could be a few hours a week, primarily an evening or weekends. I'm in Northern Westchester. So Northern Westchester, Putnam, Maybe Dutchess County is Ok with me.

So if you play drums, bass, guitar, vocals, have practice space, and are looking for a beginnger/intermediate middle age responsible guitarist to collaborate with - I'm your guy!

Metallica, Zeppelin, Radiohead, RHCP are some of my favorites but I like primarily 70s, 80s, 90s, and willing to try anything.
