| After working with producers and musicians from New York to New Zealand, Laura MacLean, a New York indie singer-songwriter, has released her debut CD. "If The Shoe Fits Wear It Out" is exactly what she did during the process of this album. With a strong female demographic, MacLean's songs speak to women, around the world, ages 14 and up. It is not uncommon that a fan comes backstage to say that her songs could be right from their own diary. "I've lived a little- I've traveled the world and met a lot of people", MacLean states. "My life experiences and the lessons I've learned from them are all what I write about. I guess it speaks to a lot of people and I'm glad my listeners relate to my songs. Life is not all warm and rosy. It's about choices, learning, love and pain- and all these things a result of one-another, funny enough." MacLean hopes that her music can be a positive influence to her listeners. | ||

We killed the joint. As a singer, songwriter, recording and performance artist, to this day Lori remains among the upper echelon of American musical artists. Celtic singer/songwriter Ashley Davis was originally heavily influenced by the environment and music around her where she grew up in Kansas. After working as a songwriter in Nashville and then moving to Ireland to do a masters in traditional Irish music - Ashley's sound truly began to take shape. Her sophomore album, Down By the Sea, has been tagged by critics and fans as one of the "best Celtic music albums of our time" (Irish Voice). Ashley was recently asked to take part in the LA Grammy museum's "Future Grammy Winner" series. :|: Cormac De Barra ~ best known as Clannad's harper, as well as with Moya Brennan's own band ~ comes from a family of traditional musicians and singers from Dublin with roots in County Cork. Having studied Irish harp with his grandmother, Róisín Ní Shé, in Dublin and then on to study concert harp in the USA with Leone Paulson, Cormac is now widely considered one of the great harpers of the Irish tradition.More info at the Towne Crier Cafe | ||
