The Slambovian Circus of Dreams | Opener: MSL

"Songs imbued with mystical stirrings and idealism… they take the stage by storm!” – The New York Times

“They have an air of both Floyd and maybe Bowie at times atop their folk-country-roots (note, not faux-country)....with a warmth and comfort of a mystical Nebraska or poetic Crazy Horse.” – Sleazegrinder, UK

“The entire root system of Rock Family Trees is embedded in Longo’s voice.”- The Big Issue, Scotland, UK

The Slambovian Circus of Dreams - collectively - are pioneers of the Americana genre, equal parts Washington Irving and Woodstock, tapping styles ranging from dusty Americana ballads to huge Pink Floydesque cinematic anthems. They've been called “the hillbilly Pink Floyd,” an apt description, particularly if you throw in elements of Incredible String Band, Neil Young, The Band, Dylan, Bowie and Syd Barrett.

The band runs its own label, with five critically acclaimed studio albums and announces the release of A Very Unusual Head, the Slambovian Circus of Dreams' sixth studio album.

A Very Unusual Head is a real Slambovian tribal project - across 4 years, 5 studios and 2 countries - with contributions from many friends and a few special guests, including Anthony Thistlethwaite - founding member of The Waterboys and Dar Williams.

FEATURING ~
Joziah Longo: Lead Vocals, Guitars, Harmonica
Longo grew up in Philadelphia, playing traditional country, folk and mummers' music with his father. He relocated to NYC, to perform professionally and pursue his muse at venues ranging from CBGB’s to Carnegie Hall, as a headline performer. Since 2010 Longo has worked with Broadway’s Circle in The Square Theater NYC. There he wrote the music for two original productions, directed by the legendary Theodore Mann.

Tink Lloyd: Accordion, Cello, Flute, Theremin, and more!
Multi-instrumentalist Tink Lloyd, comes from a long line of feisty Irish musicians, sparking the band’s music and performances. A musical ‘stylist’, dressing the songs as needed, with an ever growing pile of instruments beside her side on the stage. Tink has worked with Joziah since meeting in the 1980’s.

Musicians from the new album and the UK touring ensemble:
