Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, vocalist Aimée Allen performs regularly in NYC and abroad. She has sung with such renowned musicians including Romero Lubambo, Ron McClure, François Moutin, Rozwell Rudd, Ari Hoenig, and Yomo Toro. And, her latest release, the critically acclaimed Wings Uncaged, is a musical statement of transcendence in all its facets. With a set of jazz standards and striking originals featuring winged creatures, negotiating the challenges and limitations of the natural world, the project provides metaphors for surviving perilous conditions in creative ways. It has been named one of Downbeat Magazine's Best of 2018.
