Fred Scribner, also known as Midnight Slim is a Former Member of the Levon Helm Band and the driving force behind Blues Harp Legend: Little Sammy Davis.
Fred is founder of Sullivan County Blues & Music and curator/ performer for Blues At Bethel Woods.
Fred plays Guitar and Produced " I Ain't Lyin" on the famous Delmark Blues Label, Delmark Compilations as well as " Ten Years and Forty Days" and " Travelin" Man, both on Fat Fritz Records. " I Ain't Lyin' was Nominated for the WC Handy Award for " Comeback Of The Year and won the Same that year in " Living Blues" Magazine. Fred also appears on " Low Down Feeling" on DeltaGroove Records with " The Mannish Boys", The Self Titled: Cactus Hunters CD as well as " Something Gone" and " Midnight Audio" by Joey Degraw and " Say Something Strong, distributed on Polydor Records.

became known as the " House Band" for Imus In The Morning" during the years on WFAN Radio, NY and MSNBC TV.
Around 2005, Fred joined the Levon Helm Band, resulting in the CD/DVD : Midnight Ramble Sessions, Vol 1 and eventually becoming the Opening Act at the " Midnight Ramble" at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY where Fred Played Guitar along side, Hubert Sumlin, Garth Hudson and Donald Fagan to name a few.
Fred has Opened Shows for Johnny Winter, James Cotton, Otis Rush and Solomon Burke with his Own Band: Midnight Slim and has Played Guitar with Tom Jones, Harvey Brooks, Gavin Degraw, Joey Degraw and Delbert Mclinton. Fred has recorded with Buddy Miles, Harvey Brooks and Garth Hudson to name but a few..
