Americana, Blues, and Folk/Traditional
Live@theUpstream
8 Main Street
Hastings-on-Hudson, NY   See Map
The Lords of Liechtenstein is a contemporary folk duo based in New York City. The Lords often draw comparisons to the Everly Brothers for their harmonic sensibilities and to the Smothers Brothers for their mischievous onstage interactions. They write purposeful lyrics to tell musical stories that fluctuate between heart-wrenchingly sad and outlandishly ridiculous topics. The Lords have been featured on NPR's Mountain Stage.

Marianne Osiel is a renowned blues, jazz, and and folk singer, guitarist, and oboist. She is a consummate musician with her music rooted in blues, folk, and jazz, and with a keen harmonic sensibility. She has been a sought-after “sideman” as a slide guitarist, oboist, and singer, with such artists as John Hall (Orleans), Nanci Griffith, Ashley Cleveland, Daryll Tookes, and Joel Sonnier, and has jammed with Jackson Browne to Steve Earle to Gatemouth Brown.

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Alastair Moock began to make a name for himself on the folk and Americana circuit back in 1995, touring throughout the U.S. and Europe and playing major festivals including Newport and Norway’s Bergen Music Fest. When Moock's twin daughters were born in 2006, he turned his focus to children’s music, releasing four award-winning albums for kids and families. This spring, he returned to his singer-songwriter roots with his first “grownup" album release in ten years, produced by Mark Erelli. The Boston Globe calls Moock “one of the town's best and most adventurous songwriters” and The Washington Post says “every song is a gem.”
