Jeremy Baum - Hammond Organ Chris Vitarello - Guitar/Vocals Manuel Quintana - Drums Both traditional and trailblazing...Highly recommended. ***Blues Review Magazine Baum's playing has a deep funk to it, with a big influence of Jimmy Smith. And Baum also brings in all kinds of other things as well - dissonant jazz, alternative rock, R&B. He's not too far off from what John Medeski does with MMW, but with more of a blues streak to it. ***Jim Tragaser

Marlboro, NY   See Map
Featuring: Rich Fracassi Bass/ Vocals, Jim Verdi/Drums, Tommy Rausch/Guitar/Bass/Vocals, Joe Mariani/Tenor Sax, Jason Miller/Trombone and the rest of the gang!

Not all FUNK is created equal. A beat with no syncopation, a bass with no grooooooooove, vocals with no soul - leave the listener with a severe case of Honky-Pox. We recommend a soul vaccination administered painlessly by The Funk Junkies.

This thirteen piece funk orchestra, includes a five piece horn section, and delivers their versions of music by Tower of Power, James Brown, The Ohio Players, Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Average White Band, Sly & the Family Stone, Chaka Kahn, Montel Jordan, Prince, and more! Check them out to cure what ails you. A "Funky Good Time" will show up on your test results!

Marlboro, NY   See Map
Featuring: Fred Zepplin/Leader/Vocals/Ukulele, Alan Paul/Bass, Eric W. Nies/Keyboards, Billy Paschal/Drums and (all the way from Germany) Andreas Humpert/Guitar

This classic rock band from the Hudson Valley, led by Fred Zepplin, has developed a reputation for unconventional song selection, soaring vocals and a unique performance style - unexpected from a ukulele-fronted band! The band celebrates Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, David Bowie, Pearl Jam, and of course Led Zeppelin.

Although Fred Zepplin has opened for numerous national acts, their tagline "Live, local and homegrown rock" is well-respected and supported in clubs and bars throughout Orange County NY, and its neighboring territories.

Fred Zepplin has headlined at notable Hudson Valley venues, including The Falcon and The Falcon Underground; The Chance Theatre, Sugarloaf Performing Art Center, Orange County Choppers Cafe and Brian's Backyard BBQ.

Celeste Fleurival has been a frequent guest vocalist for various bands at 12 Grapes, including JP Patrick's "Sessions" and Electric Beef, and was a finalist in a singing competition we had last year. Celeste's band is a collection of some of the finest performers in the Hudson Valley -- the incomparable Tito Wilson on drums/backing vocals, Larry Gardner on keys, Joe Henderson on guitar, and Kenny Kaufman on bass.

Celeste began her vocal career in her HS Choir, touring throughout the US in various ensembles. Her strong vocal ability and energetic stage presence soon transitioned her into the field of musical theater. Her first public professional appearance began at the legendary Apollo Theater stage in the "Stars of Tomorrow" segment at the age of 17. Celeste still continues to perform in the New York City metro area.

SlideAttack plays fresh arrangements of jazz standards from the swing era to hard bop and beyond, by composers Kenny Dorham, J.J. Johnson, George Gershwin, Hank Mobley and others, along with original material.

"In so many ways, this music is so refreshing; excellent arrangements, interesting repertoire, all put together with the care and love that can only come from true dedication and appreciation for the kind of swinging jazz that one doesn't hear nearly enough nowadays. In the great tradition of the two-trombone groups of yesteryear, Mr. Levy and Mr. Goidel deserve our gratitude for keeping the tradition not only alive, but swinging!" - Loren Schoenberg, Artistic Director, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem

He has played in the acoustic blues duo, The Hell Hounds, having recorded three of their own CDs, and contributing to two compilations for Larchmont Recordings with other artists such as: Rhonda Vincent, Sue Foley, and Duke Robillard. They have performed at concerts, festivals, clubs and colleges up and down the East Coast and into the Midwest, and have opened for notables such as Roy Bookbinder, John Hammond and Bob Margolin. “Trafficking in a free-flowing blend of jazz, hip-hop and Afrobeat, the group can resemble the world’s funkiest marching band one minute, an unhinged New Orleans funeral procession the next.“ — Los Angeles Times

HBE are seven brothers from the south side of Chicago who come from an extraordinary musical family; their father is jazz legend Phil Cohran. The band freely mix the brass band tradition with generous doses of hip hop, soul and funk, creating an intoxicating and boisterous blend.

Together they have toured throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America playing with everyone from Prince, Mos Def, Mick Jones (The Clash), and Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz). Their music, work ethic, life and experiences were the subject of the documentary film Brothers Hyp.notic A recent claim to fame - their song, “War” was featured in the blockbuster hit movie, The Hunger Games.

Dean Friedman in Concert
Pop/Soft Rock
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Dean Friedman marked his entry into pop consciousness with the Top 20 chart success of his infectious hit single, Ariel, a quirkily irresistible and uncategorizable pop song about a free spirited, pot-smoking, vegetarian Jewish girl who lived, as the lyric goes, "...way on the other side of the Hudson". Friedman scored again with his follow up album, "Well, Well," Said the Rocking Chair', and now classic hit single, Lucky Stars which paved the way for hits such as Lydia, Rocking Chair, McDonald's Girl and Woman of Mine.

"Stunning Musicianship" - Hot Press, "Songsmith Extraordinaire!" - Music Week , "An Amazing Talent" - The Sun, "An American Classic" - Tribune, "The Soundtrack of Our Lives" – NY Times.

Friedman's latest CD, Submarine Races, has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics, alike. This stunning recording further confirms Friedman's status as one of the finest songwriters of his generation.

$20 admission.

Named ‘Best Group/Duo’ in the 2014 International Acoustic Music Awards, acoustic-duo Ryanhood got their first break more than a decade ago as street-performers at Boston’s Quincy Market. It was there that they were spotted by a college booking agent and thrust into the college touring scene, where Campus Activities Magazine would name them “one of the most requested acts by college buyers all across the country.” They’ve since gone on to perform more than 800 shows in 45 U.S. states over the past decade and have shared stages with Jason Mraz, Matt Nathanson, Train, and many more.

Their sixth and newest album, Yearbook, was recorded over the past year and half in bedrooms, living rooms, hotel rooms, and green rooms across the country. Led by their signature two-part vocal harmonies, and decorated with flares of guitar, ukulele, and mandolin, Yearbook centers on songs about being young, growing old, and making peace with the passing of time.
