Born in the bustling city of Tokyo, and raised in the quiet suburbs of New York City, singer/songwriter Paul Tryon has been synthesizing the sounds and stories of his world into piano-driven songs for a decade’s time. His seventh birthday brought forth classical piano lessons, which manifested into rock-n-roll on his 14th birthday. Throughout college, Paul played in several bands, namely ‘The Tryloves’ and ‘Northern Lights.’ Paul’s writing has been compared to that of Billy Joel, John Denver, Neil Young, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Josh Ritter, and Justin Townes Earle. His writing style incorporates folk, rock, and blues. He has won both regional and international songwriting competitions. Paul's debut record, "Give and Take," is available on iTunes and on www.paultryon.com. Paul has performed at a number of notable venues, including The Chance, The Towne Crier Café, High Falls Café, Babycakes, Rock Bar NYC, Clarkson University, Ramapo College, SUNY Potsdam, and many more.
