Where there's smoke, there's fire,
and MOJOSMOKE is set to burn up the charts
with their debut release, PULL.
Described by critics as "alternative meets
classic rock, with radio-friendly appeal," PULL is an "excellent mix of
several tight rock sounds", in the vein of current hit-makers the Wallflowers,
the Dave Matthews Band and Third Eye Blind. There's smoke on the horizon as
they prepare to showcase their material to labels this Spring and Summer. Even
without benefit of a label, cuts from the album Pull have already appeared in
the feature film AIRBOSS 2 and on national television in the pay-per-view
series VIDEO VIXENS. The disc has already garnered airplay in the Northeast
and the band has appeared live on the radio on two occasions as well.
Mojosmoke seems poised to take their place on the airwaves with their own
blend of modern Rock and Roll.
The music on the Mojosmoke CD is complimented by the cover art, done by the
artist known as Mikio, who has created art for the Grateful Dead and Dave
Matthews, and was the designer of the official logo for Woodstock '94. The
moody cover design underlines the dark, mystical feel of some of the tracks
offered.
Mojosmoke plans to do showcases and other dates in the Hudson Valley and NYC area throughout 1998 as they shop the first CD to record labels. A second album is currently in the works. The band can be contacted at MOJOSMOKE@aol.com or by calling Deerfield Productions at 914-741-2955.
